Holiday Ball Skirt

I've pulled out a favorite holiday piece and I am already thinking of a million different news ways to style it this season! I adore full taffeta skirts and dresses any time of year because they are so effortlessly chic, but they do feel particularly festive in wintertime.  Last year, I decided I wanted to add a ball skirt with dramatic elements to my wardrobe, and ultimately, I invested in this Adrianna Papell high-low ball skirt. For a classic item, it's a steal! The skirt is well constructed, timelessly stylish, and only $120! I adore it in red, but it also comes in tan, black, and navy blue.

I wore it several times last winter, including during a trip to Dallas, which I blogged about here.

It pairs gorgeously with a classic white button-front blouse, which is how I styled it most recently. I also had a tulle underskirt constructed to give the skirt more dimension and fullness, and although it wears quite elegantly on its own, I love how expansive it becomes with the tulle underneath.
