Blue Dress and Red Barn

Believe it or not, both of this week's posts feature my wedding dresses! Since I've only been married twice (haha) two is as many wedding dresses as I have; nothing more to restyle in that department.  My second wedding was quite simple: I wore this secondhand J.Crew sundress and got married at City Hall in San Francisco without any guests at all, aside from our dear friend Jessica of Jessica Nichols Art, and our two little daughters.

This dress was considerably easier to restyle than the one I shared earlier this week. I love a classic, preppy silhouette and this dress is exactly that!

A blazer is one of my favorite layering pieces for transitional weather, as well as one of my favorite ways to bring an effortlessly pulled-together touch to virtually any ensemble.

I'm also thrilled to be able to get a few more wears out of my dear old Clarks boots.  These boots have been resoled a total of three times, and I have had the zippers replaced in both of them.  However, I have worn them so much in the nearly ten years that I have owned them, that the leather is starting to crack in a few places.  I can't say I haven't gotten my fair share of wearing out of them, though! These boots are incredibly well-made and look as classic today as when I bought them a decade ago.
