Frills in the Front, Bows in the Back

We are deep in holiday season. I really don't like to eat candy canes, but I decided I'd like to look like one.  That's festive, right? I purchased this Eileen Fisher maxi skirt brand new but secondhand and immediately fell in love with how light and flowy it is.  As a pragmatist, I'm excited that I'll be able to wear it all year long, not just for winter. It will look beach-perfect with a straw hat and a linen top.  Ugh, I can barely bring myself to think about that in December.

I cannot get enough of button-front blouses lately.  Or ever, really.  Classic style, defined.  Banana Republic has got me covered! Their petite blouses fit me just right.  This one is frilly and formal. I don't usually wear pink.  C'est trop feminine pour moi. But when I do, I make sure it's ultra girly and covered in ruffles.  Go big or go home, right?

I borrowed this huge, gorgeous red taffeta sash from the Adrianna Papell ball skirt I'm always raving about.  I love the way it creates a cummerbund-like effect in the front and balances out that masculinity with a pretty bow in the back. I'm ready to twirl all night long!
