Last weekend, my husband and I enjoyed a lovely, rainy afternoon in the Stanford Rodin garden at the Cantor Arts Museum. It is one of many beautiful little spots on the Stanford campus. Since I am working on having fun with the pieces already in my closet, I decided to play around with a more romantic, dreamy look. To achieve this look, I paired my beloved Agent Provocateur Matilda corset with a tulle skirt I had custom made by the Etsy seller CocoTutuHouse. Originally, the I wore the skirt as an underskirt with my Adrianna Papell ball skirt, as seen in this post. But the tulle skirt holds up on its own as a gorgeous statement piece. And as a petite gal, I really love that it was made to order using my specific waist and length requests. The Etsy seller was super easy to work with, very friendly, and got the skirt to me really fast! It is a well-made garment, too. She also included a sash that goes around the waist to create a more polished look when the skirt is used as an outer garment. Since I paired it with my corset, I opted not to use it, but I am looking forward to adding the sash on future occasions.
Here's a look at the Matilda corset and tulle skirt in the sculpture garden.
At this point, the look gets a little frisky because I was playing around for an Instagram contest; which is also the reason I have my passport there. The panty is also from the Agent Provocateur Matilda range, and the suspender is American Apparel.
Have a great weekend, everyone!
