On a recent trip to Fort Worth, Texas, I connected with a local photographer named Ben Alan Brown (find him on Instagram as @benalanbrown) and had an awesome evening shooting a couple of glam Valentine's Day looks after hours at a super fun spot, the Acre Distilling Co. which operates both a distillery and a coffee house.
I favor gin, and the two versions I tried at Acre were both incredible. The bartender and the owner were as lovely as the drinks, and I couldn't have been luckier to find a cooler place to spend the evening with new companions.
If you're headed somewhere casual for Valentine's Day, or just not one to wear a dress, a metallic top and shoe combination is an easy way to elevate a casual pair of jeans. While the December holidays are squarely in metallic season, it's still winter, and I say metallics still work, especially after dark.
If you're in the Fort Worth area for Valentine's Day, I can't recommend a trip to Acre Distillery Co. highly enough. It's perfect for a first date or a tenth anniversary night out. Such a great spot!
When I want to maximize the sultry factor, I always turn to Agent Provocateur. It's a brand that never fails to disappoint in terms of luxe design, flattering sizing, and sumptuous fabrics.
I've worn this Agent Provocateur dress a number of times, all of which were wonderfully romantic outings with my husband. If you opt for a look like this, believe me, heads will turn! I love the way the fabric drapes and the cut of the dress suggests a world of erotic possibilities. The challenge with very long dresses is how to properly pair them with jackets in colder weather. Floor length and cropped options are best; and for this look, I selected a gorgeous Lise Charmel cropped jacket from my very favorite lingerie boutique, French Theft Lingerie. The jacket is so versatile. I have worn it dressed down several times since wearing it with this formal dress. It is also incredibly snuggly. You won't want to remove it, ever!
Happy Sunday, everyone! Hope you have something special planned for your Valentine, no matter if it's an old flame, a new romance, a dear friend, or just yourself. Who couldn't do without a little love?
