Vintage Reds

I can't get enough of vintage vibes lately! There is something about bygone eras that feels sentimental and glamorous. I also love classic fashion, and pieces that have withstood the test of time and still hold up as elegant are always wardrobe staples I want to have in my closet.

How darling is this little apple bag? I fell in love with it the moment I saw it.  It's so cute, and that color! Novelty items can go off course when they aren't worn well.  Less is more; it's important to let a strong statement accessory do most of talking and not compete with the rest of the outfit, which is why I paired the apple bag with such a subdued Banana Republic shift dress.

I love Clarks shoes.  They are so ultra comfortable and don't compromise on style.  This pair is an old, dear favorite of mine. I bought them for my wedding, and have worn them for all the years since I got married. I love the classic shape, and the practicality of a heeled shoe with an ankle strap. Doesn't the red just pop against the detailing on the top of the shoes? Helloooooo Valentine's Day outfit!

It's still pretty frigid in Northern California (well, by some standards) but the rain has let up and the blue sky is just gorgeous in every direction. Here's to warmer weather, though a warm heart shines through no matter how cold it gets outside.
