As a minimalist, I know I only really need one suit for winter. And this is that suit. Sometimes, however, I forget that I'm a minimalist and I go shopping again. It happens.
Let me tell you my favorite secret thing about this suit: there are little elastics sewn into the sleeves about one quarter of the way up from the cuff. When you push the sleeves up, they stay up on the inside but they also stay smooth looking on the outside. Good thinking, Chanel.
Lately, my non-blogging (i.e. day job) life has gotten really intense. I've noticed that whenever this happens, I instinctively pare back my wardrobe to my most favorite essentials and wear nothing else. Suffice to say this suit has gotten a lot of wear time (could have worked a good pun there with air time, but I didn't do that) lately. I avoid team sports, otherwise I'd call this suit my "MVP." Pretend I didn't say that.
You can't make me wear all black. Chic my a$$. All black is what criminals wear for robberies and frankly it creeps me out. Even French artists throw a little stripe in the wardrobe. I thought about wearing a black turtleneck with this suit, and then I remembered that would be terrible. I think the sun gods wanted to reinforce this notion because it was weirdly about 85 degrees this day. Just imagine a black turtleneck with all that black suit on top. Yikes.
Side note: in the future, let's talk about bras and how much we don't really need them.
Thanks for reading, everyone. Don't forget to wear what you love.
