I love to exist in the space between proper and deviant. I've always been much more comfortable with the idea that dichotomies are more pleasant than exclusive preferences. I'll have my cake, and eat it, too.
I like to put my makeup on before I get dressed, so I appreciate a dress that slips on without the risk of stains. I also fear patterns. I'll wear a dress without pockets, but I sure prefer to have some. This dress is by Ted Baker, and the fabric is really soft, like jersey knit. I can imagine wearing it at a funeral just as easily as at the ballet.
There was a full moon this week and I really felt it. Everything felt topsy-turvy, kind of out of control, and very intense - at times in wonderful ways. When I was a younger adult, I really resisted letting myself ever feel out of control. But I find it much easier to let go of that fear as time goes by.
Cheers to a wonderful weekend ahead, and thanks for reading!
