Vintage Paris Chic

My friend Meileena (find her on Instagram as Muse Meileena) and I met up at Bistro Vida in Menlo Park recently to try out some vintage, Paris-inspired looks. For the record, vintage, Paris-inspired looks are pretty much my favorite jam in the whole entire universe.  So much chic nostalgia, it's all a girl can do not to pack up and move across the Atlantic!

To me, nothing is as classic as a little black skirt, a crisp white button-up shirt, and a killer pair of heels.  I have a weakness for men's scarves, and I bought this silk paisley one a few years ago at J.Crew. It's a wardrobe staple! I love to layer it during cooler weather, and use it to accessorize all year round, too.

I'm completely in love with plaid (it's one of the few patterns I don't feel shy in - true fact!) and Meileena's skirt is out of control sexy. Pinup material for sure! Her velvet hat is a favorite winter weather fabric and elevates any ensemble so effortlessly.

I've already proclaimed my love for Bistro Vida in an earlier post, though I can't help but reiterate it here.  It's such an elegant spot to meet friends or share a meal and a drink with your special someone.  I'm looking forward to outdoor dining when the garden patio opens later this spring.
