If you've read my Green Style Rules, you know all about the fact that I'm a self-proclaimed Francophile (and if you'd like to read them, click right HERE). J'adore tous les choses francaises! My husband and I were delighted to find a lovely French cafe, Bistro Vida, in the downtown area of our neighborhood in Menlo Park.
It's not only a charming spot to enjoy a delicious morning or evening meal (and an apperatif, bien sur!) inside, it's also as elegant as a little jewel box.
The owner, Ali, is an absolutely sweet man, and his restaurant is an oasis for anyone wishing to be whisked away to Paris for just an afternoon (and only the price of eggs Benedict or a cafe au lait). In authentic Parisian style, Bistro Vida will be opening an outdoor garden terrace-style seating area later this spring. I can't wait! Dining en plein air is just the best.
I love the power of a suit with menswear-style shoes, but I also appreciate the way a nice pair of heels elevates a pantsuit. Classics are best. I like to keep my colors neutral, my details simple, and my silhouettes timeless when I wear a suit. I would wear a suit every day if I could. It's just one of the most pragmatic and elegant ways a woman can dress.
Happy Thursday amies!
