Bodycon for Moms

I don't wear much bodycon, considering I'm:

1. Over the age of 35

2. Kind of shy

3. Never at a nightclub

But when I do, it's going to be American Apparel.  Nobody does bodycon like they do. Bright blue (cerulean...is that what it's called?) has longtime been a favorite "bold" neutral of mine.

This dress is extra special because it's one I bought for one of the first dates I ever went on with my husband and he loved it. Even though it's a sassy little number, the top actually takes some of the edge off with it's faux-wrap-style ballerina sweetness.

Also, please note - bodycon is vaVOOM enough. There's no need to look for a short, form fitting dress that also has lots of embellishments or cutouts.  In fact, I particularly like my short, tight dresses to be a solid color and have long sleeves. The juxtaposition of all that covered arm and all that revealed leg is exciting.

Guess what? I ended up wearing this dress on Valentine's Day this year.  How sweet am I? My husband and I are three kids deep in marriage now, and sometimes a little bodycon goes a long way, if you know what I mean.
