Last Saturday gets a 10 out of 10 on the good days scale. My husband and I drove up (well, I suppose it was technically down and then up, because we drove south of our house, but then we drove up into the mountains) to a lovely spot called Testarossa Winery. The setting was incredible and the tasting room was a fascinating piece of California history. It was built by Jesuits in 1888 and the stone cellar felt like an ancient catacomb.
After a glass of wine, we headed to one of my favorite lingerie spots, French Theft, to celebrate our friend Kate's first anniversary in her Los Gatos location.
I was lucky enough to spend the evening luxuriating in one of Evgenia Lingerie's most decadent new designs for spring, the Floralia Petal Chemise. Run, don't walk, to the nearest computer (oh wait, you're already there...no excuses!) and order this beauty for yourself (or, if you're local, head to French Theft). I mean, just look at it. Pure romantic elegance.
I die again and again of delight when I see this chemise.
I would be remiss if I didn't take this opportunity to mention that my favorite boudoir photographer, Danea, of Boudoir Coterie, was also at the French Theft event. I have spent several of my other 10 out of 10 level good days with Danea and I firmly believe every woman should treat herself to a boudoir photoshoot at some point in her life. My first session with Danea was a bit of a post-baby celebration when my last child was born. So many women struggle to fall back in love with their bodies after giving birth. Postpartum is an important moment to celebrate the strength and beauty of motherhood and the physical body that makes such a miracle possible.
Well that got a little emotional! Maybe not a 10 out of 10 level emotional, but I wouldn't want to throw something that big out there on a blog post I've chosen to call "My Silky Saturday," now, would I?
