2000's Greatest Hit

I read this wonderfully nostalgic Vogue article recently about the 00's trend (I know, I know, I said the "T" word) of wearing jeans with fancy tops out all the time. That was me back then, and count me in to get back on that train if it's pulling up to the 2017 station.  Ok, to be honest, count me in whether or not the train is coming.  I know how to drive a stick shift and I'm not afraid to hitchhike.

Today's post is a tribute to my post-college days, in all their fancy tops and jeans glory.  I'm styling two different Tobi tops with two of my favorite pairs of J.Crew skinny jeans (similar here and here) and a pair of satin Jimmy Choo sandals I bought from Fillmore & 5th in Palo Alto, CA.

I love the subtle metallic glam of this champagne top and the contrast between the amount of coverage in the front versus the back makes for a totally dramatic silhouette.

Denim and black is undeniably the most classic way to do your fancy top and jeans look.  I branched out a bit here, and wore this one-shoulder piece for the first time ever.  I know, hold me back, right? I'm getting kind of wild.

Happy Labor Day weekend, readers!
