Happy fall, everyone! Let's just go ahead and proclaim it! No sense in avoiding the inevitable, especially when the inevitable is the best season of the year!
Fall is my favorite season. I really don't love being cold in winter (got enough of that growing up. If you have to start the car to warm it up before driving it, count me out) but I do love being pre-cold. Which is exactly what fall has to offer. I like putting on light layers and then shedding them like a butterfly emerging from a chrysalis as the day unfolds into warmer temperatures. Plus, my hands-down favorite silhouette is covered arms and exposed legs, which is more or less the perfect fall uniform.
Do people everywhere spend a lot of time talking about seasons and the weather? Because I sure do. I think part of it might be related to growing up in a place with four distinct seasons per year, and watching them change is historically related to the success of your crops and your harvest and whatnot. And nowadays, a big part of my daily grind is making sure I am intimately familiar with the 10-day forecast at all times. Maybe I missed my calling as a meteorologist. Also, not sure I like the phrase "daily grind." Probably won't be using that one again.
Thanks for reading! Have a wonderful Sunday.
