Water Baby

After many years of politely saying yes to most everything I’ve asked my sweet husband to shoot for my blog, he finally asked to style and direct one shoot himself. And today, I present the outcome.

Some things to know about him include: he loves swimwear, he loves nature, he loves water, and he loves the color green. I think that sums up the shoot, doesn’t it?

I had a lot of fun being a model; it’s a role I accept rather infrequently. I really love blogging, and to that end, I feel more comfortable driving the shoot than being directed. Modeling comes with so much added pressure to correctly interpret and sufficiently express someone else’s artistic vision. Yikes.

However, I’m also up to give pretty much anything a try (except skydiving. No way, no how) so when Sergio asked if I would model for a shoot concept, truthfully, it wasn’t too intimidating.

If I may say one thing about the behind the scenes vibe of this shoot, it is that it was freezing, not warm, and those little pebbles all over the beach are much sharper than they appear. I am covered in cuts and bruises as a result of this shoot. I guess that was two things (or three). We had a lot of fun working on this project together and I’m ready for his next idea.

Happy Sunday! Thanks for reading, and have a wonderful day.
